Vintage Carved Bird Sewing Kit Austria Thread and Needle HolderThis is a very unique early 1900's carved bird sewing kit or thread holder from Austria. It's in lovely condition, and the carved bird with red accents on the lid easily unscrews from the base to reveal a small spool with areas for two colors of thread. There is still some purple thread on the one section. The top of the spool also unscrews to reveal needles. The base of the piece is hallmarked "Austria". An interesting collectible that measures 3 1 4

with no other damage

The only issue we could find was one tiny pencil point ding to the outside edge of one of the large lenses and some slight tarnish

or even used in your kitchen for a sugar shaker

It measures approximately 5 inches in width by 5 inches in length

It opens to a peach colored lining

just slip the top of the lighter out of the main case and fill where you see the red felt

The beads are shades of iridescent purples
